You can scan the manufactured objects with a camera connected to computer USB. Then compare the scans got with a reference standard. Apply a tolerance for acceptance or rejection. Based on the quantity of rejections improve process, till faults are within acceptable limits.
The scanned object must be in same position and same angle for proper results. This depend on some guiding system in conveyor to make object position properly.

The evaluation of yield-related traits is an essential step in rice breeding, genetic research and functional genomics research. A new, automatic, and labor-free facility to automatically thresh rice panicles, evaluate rice yield traits, and subsequently pack filled spikelets is presented in this paper.
Details of the inspection unit. The inspection unit consisted mainly of a three-stage conveyor, two line-scan cameras, two LED light sources, a wind separator and an unfilled spikelet outlet.
Machine-vision system validates barcodes on packages within carton. The cameras take images of the open shipping container, locate individual packages inside, and then locate the product labels on the individual packages. The information along with images for archive and audit is returned via Ethernet to the Numina Group’s Carton Audit and Validation System (CAVS).
